General notes
The proteic sequence presented by Boulter et al. is retained rather than Seeburg's one because it corresponds to the human sequence at the level of the unique discrepancy. The transcript sequence presented by Boulter et al. is retained rather than Seeburg's one because it is longer. In the original Genbank file, Seeburg's sequence is said to come from Rattus rattus instead of Rattus norvegicus. However the sequence of KA2 presented by the same group is said to come from Rattus norvegicus. This latter species being more common in european labs, I made the assomption that the former claim was a mistake. Tell me if you know better.
